I have an interview in a couple days and I need to know if they do drug test people applying to be a busboy?

Im told they dont but i need to be 100 percent sure before I go to the interview.

I do smoke and I am prob going to today. I just wanna know because im pretty sure i'd fail and I dont wanna even go to the interview if I'm going to fail.

BTW im 16 and 130 lbs.

i doubt it. almost EVERYONE in the restaraunt buisness smokes, or does other drugs. Its a fantastic way to find a hookup.

I worked for carrabbas ... they are both owned by the same ppl and I was a busboy and did not get tested. Don't worry they wont test you.

Sheesh if restaurants tested, they'd have one hell of a time keeping themselves staffed. Back of house staff are the biggest bunch of potheads you ever met. And front of house? They seem to prefer sticking weird nasty SHIT up their noses...

FYI family-owned restaurants are a lot more laid back and you don't have some dumb ass MBA 40 year old wannabe frat boy manager who never grew up (or worked in a restaurant before, or at ALL for that matter...) having "teamwork training" for an hour after shift when you are trying to go home.

Haha you got it.... any corporate restaurant pretty much knows they cant drug test or they will have no staff. Managerial included. Shit.. when I worked for Panera Bread I was gettin sacks for my fuckin manager lol. But yeah thats why Dooby Tuesdays is the first place I put an application for yesterday since moving here... *wait, no I didnt turn it in yet... shit I gotta do that lol*.. I know they dont drug test, and I know its a great way to get connects. Plus, if youre smart you can eat for free all the time. I used to eat a salad or two every day in Maryland, whether I worked that day or not.

Git R done, man, youre good to go. Especially as a bus boy lol. I dont think they even piss test managers.

I worked in the restaurant industry for four years. You'd be amazed how disturbingly accurate is the golden rule: 80% of restaurant staff (including management) either smoke, do drugs, or are heavy drinkers. It's party city. The remaining 20% are straight-laced religious freaks.

Bingo. Anybody that has worked in a restaurant and has seen the movie "Waiting" knows that it is not a work of fiction, but in fact an incredibly accurate documentary. All those characters exist in almost every restaurant Ive worked in. With the exception of the Japanese steakhouse lol :p

As a matter of fact, I ran the bar at a Japanese steakhouse for 9 years and the exception is more a little flexibility in percentages... I used to hook up the kitchen manager's friends when they came to visit the States. I believe to this day that the head cook himself is still pretty much in exile from Korea, where possession laws are harsh to the max, and where he was slinging the green personally.

And the waitstaff... OMG... like EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM spends half their tips on their drug of choice, and at least one of them I know to be a dealer.
